In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth out of a formless void, and brought beauty & order from the chaos.  Then he made us in His Image and told us to do the same thing. We are little "icons" of the Creator, fashioned in His image to subdue the chaos and create just like He did.

Instead, we made things more chaotic!  Our disobedience and sin separated us from Him, so He had to send Jesus to die on the cross as the perfect, sinless sacrifice to restore our broken relationship with our Creator.

​

He loves us more than we can ever imagine and wants to restore our original design and creative purpose. His plans for us are the same as they were from the beginning - a close and abiding CONNECTION with Him!  Once we accept Jesus' free gift of salvation, we invite the Holy Spirit to lead us deeper in our connection with our Creator and show us how to be His "icons" and reflect His Glory to the world!

A wonderful way to start living this connected life is to make a daily appointment with God.  Talk to him like you would a close friend and ask Him to reveal himself to you.  Take time to slow down, read and meditate on scripture. Study the story of Jesus and the many creative ways He connected with His Father.
